Richard T. Coley, Sr. – President/Treasurer

Mr. Coley begin his career in commercial construction lending in 1978 in Buffalo NY and moved to Tampa in 1982 with a subsidiary of Bank America through 1989. In 1989, Mr. Coley founded SHAMROCK REALTY ADVISORS, INC. (SRA), a mortgage banking and real estate company, to provide commercial mortgage and real estate services throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States. Mr. Coley has over thirty years’ experience in the commercial mortgage banking and real estate industry. He is a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker. SRA was consolidated into Shamrock Realty Associates, LLC a few years back. From 1995 to 2017, Mr. Coley acquired, developed, financed and managed 6000 affordable and Class A residential apartments in 20 properties in Florida, Charlotte, NC, and several other States.

Mr. Coley is a graduate of Harvard University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree, cum laude, in psychology. Mr. Coley played varsity football, lacrosse, and captained varsity hockey at Nichols School in Buffalo, N.Y. and he grew up nearby in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada where he still maintains a home.

His activities include golf, tennis, and bicycling. He is past President of the Harvard Club of the West Coast of Florida and has been a member of the Schools and Scholarship Committee for many years.  Mr. Coley is a member of Harbour Island Athletic Club and former member of the Tampa Yacht and Country Club, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, and the Cherry Hill Club of Ridgeway Ontario. He has also volunteered at Club YANA, a local not for profit for over 25 years and  is currently Chairman of the Board. He is a founding member of the First Step Recovery.

Thomas B. VanderKlipp – Vice President

Throughout an extensive career in marketing and advertising, Thom has helped shape some of the most recognizable brands in the world, such as Ford, Toyota, McDonald’s, Publix, Sony, Outback Steakhouse, Adventist Health System, Tampa General Hospital, the U.S. Marines and Budweiser. He grows business through customer-centric, data grounded strategies that translate to memorable campaigns. He has worked with some of the top ad agencies in the world, including J. Walter Thompson in Detroit and Atlanta, Dentsu in Tokyo, Japan, DMB&B in St. Louis, SJP in Jacksonville and FKQ and 22squared in Tampa. He has served as marketing director and strategic consultant for Baycare Health System, Florida Hospital, Lazydays, Amalie Oil, and Meridian Behavioral Health.

Mr. Vanderklipp is a graduate and devoted fan of Michigan State University where he obtained a degree in Advertising and Mass Communications. He has travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, and lived in Tokyo where he became fluent in sushi.  He enjoys spending time with his twin teenage daughters when they let him, and playing golf when it’s not playing him.

Thom served  on the board of directors for the Gulf Ridge Council of the Boy Scouts of America from 2008 – 2015, and was Vice President of Marketing from 2008 – 2013.  As a founding member of The First Step Foundation, he is passionate about recovery and devotes a good deal of his personal time helping alcoholics and addicts battle addiction.  

Dainius A. Drukteinis, MD, J.D., FACEP - Secretary

Dainius A. Drukteinis, also known as “Dr. Dan,” is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician at Tampa General Hospital, where he previously served as Associate Medical Director of the Emergency Department.  He is also an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Florida where he teaches residents and medical students while caring for patients in the hospital.  

Dr. Drukteinis received his medical degree at Cornell Medical School in 2004.  He completed his emergency medicine residency training at New York University/Bellevue Hospital in 2008.  He was voted Runner-Up by his peers for the Best Emergency Medicine Physician in the Tampa Bay region in Tampa Magazine December2017/January 2018.

Dr. Drukteinis is also an attorney.  He received his law degree from Tulane University in 1996.  He is a member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Bar.  He currently testifies and performs medical record review in medical malpractice cases, in cases involving the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, and in cases involving Personal Injury Protection laws with regard to emergency medical care following automobile collisions.  

Dr. Drukteinis grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire.  He attended Bucknell University, in Pennsylvania where he double-majored in Economics and Spanish.  He was a Judicial Clerk at the New Hampshire Supreme Court.  He was also involved in stem cell research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.  He moved to Florida from New England in 2011 with his wife and three children, where he is happy to have escaped the cold weather. His passion for the First Step Foundation comes from his personal experience as a doctor, working with patients dealing with alcohol and substance abuse.
